Wednesday Wag: Chris Evans’ dog singing will melt your cold, cold heart

Chris Evans may not be the most talented one in the family. His dog Dodger just blew fans away while singing to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

Chris Evans’ dog Dodger might just break the Internet. The adorable pup has just learned how to sing. And it’ll melt your heart.

Evans took to Twitter to post a video of his rescue dog with his favorite stuffed lion. “This is Dodger’s stuffed lion. He loves it. He brings it everywhere. If you press [its] paw, it sings. Today, Dodger decided to join in,” Evans wrote.

As the lion sang “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” Dodger started howling along. It’s the cutest thing in the world. And the dog’s got some pipes! Evans better watch out: His dog may just become a bigger star than he is!

As Dodger started belting out the notes, Evans and what definitely sounded like Jenny Slate could be heard laughing in the background, fueling speculation that the Gifted co-stars were back together. “It’s like magic,” Slate laughed.

Evans actually adopted Dodger while filming Gifted. “One of the last scenes we were filming in was in a pound, a kennel,” he told People, adding:

"I foolishly walked in and I thought, ‘Are these actor dogs or are these real up for adoption dogs?’ And sure enough they were, so I was walking up and down the aisles and saw this one dude and he didn’t belong there. I snagged him and he’s such a good dog. They aged him at about one, he acts like a puppy, he’s got the energy of a puppy, he’s just such a sweetheart, he’s such a good boy. He loves dogs, he loves kids, he’s full of love."

And Dodger has been taking over the Internet and capturing hearts ever since.

Back in September, for example, Evans posted a hilarious video of Dodger freaking out when Evans came home after being away filming for 10 weeks.

Evans has posted a ton of pictures and videos of his four-legged friend, and we hope there are many more.
