Taylor Swift Reportedly Bought A New Home In Tribeca
Did Taylor Swift just drop $18 million on a new home in the Big Apple?
While Swift has tons of homes around the country, new reports claim the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer recently made a large purchase in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City.
Taylor Swift’s new home has a controversial past
On October 30, the New York Post told readers that Swift has added a “notorious” 27-foot wide townhouse to her collection of pricey homes after reportedly buying the home at 153 Franklin Street, where disgraced French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn lived during his 2011 stint on house arrest.
According to the report, Strauss-Kahn was on house arrest years ago after being accused of assaulting and attempting to rape a maid at a hotel.
Swift’s new home is a three-story townhouse that comes equipped with a spa, gym, oak floors and a planted terrace.
Taylor Swift is now her own neighbor
If Franklin Street sounds familiar to Swift fans, that’s because the singer is also the proud owner of a penthouse duplex up the street at 155 Franklin Street. As the New York Post revealed, Swift purchased the duplex in 2014 for just under $20 million.
Although numerous reports have confirmed the sale of 153 Franklin Street, the outlet claimed the deal seemed to be off-market and noted that the property was never listed for sale. Instead, it was bought by Euro Tribeca LLC, which has links to a lawyer currently employed by Swift’s management team who has also brokered past deals for the singer.
