Fans can get picky about Harry Potter tattoos but having the Deathly Hallows is actually pretty cool! We’re talking the best kind of tattoo.
The Deathly Hallows tends to be an easy tattoo for most Harry Potter fans. It also seems to be the one that people deem “basic” around the world, which isn’t fair to the series or to the owner of said tattoo. As with most things with Harry Potter, people tend to have a different meaning for the Deathly Hallows and why they get the tattoo.
Obviously there are those who get it because they want a Harry Potter tattoo and it is the obviously option. Others get it because it represents something more. The best is when siblings or friends all get it together.
To me, that has a much deeper meaning then people give it credit for. If you’re representing a part of the Deathly Hallows with people who mean something to you, there’s nothing ‘basic’ about it. Honestly, any tattoo that has meaning isn’t ‘basic’ but we live in a world of labels.
I just don’t like when those labels end up hurting fans of the series. You can have it represented on your body in any way you see fit. Whether that’s with a tattoo of the Deathly Hallows or with something more specific, that is completely up to you.
That’s my favorite thing about this series. You can make it whatever you want. Whether it is a series that you just read as a kid that means nothing to you now or if it is still your favorite book series, that’s for you to decide. No one is forcing your hand or telling you that you have to pick something.
