Vampires and Werewolves: What if they were professors at Hogwarts?

facebooktwitterreddit

Harry Potter has had its fair share of werewolves and vampires. But what if they ended up being professors at school without having to hide it?

Werewolves and vampires have existed in the Harry Potter universe before. But even when they were professors (Lupin), he had to hide who he truly was. So what if they could openly be who they were and taught anyway?

Like imagine a potions professor who’s a vampire and lives in the dungeon? They have a little more control over themselves and could probably manage teaching a bit better than Lupin could. Since when the moon came out, he pretty much couldn’t control anything.

I just think it’d be fun! We have some magical beings teaching (like Professor Flitwick) but there are very limited amounts of other beings teaching. Maybe they’re too dangerous to be in charge of students at school? Or is that being too rude to all the mythical beings that inhabit the magical world that Harry Potter found himself in?

Either way, I just want to know why Flitwick is pretty much all they have at Hogwarts. What? No other being could perform magic? Then how do werewolves and vampires end up having wands? It just seems a big confusing and like they didn’t want to incorporate all these aspects into the story.

But it could have been very interesting to see all the different ways these creatures could have taught the students of Hogwarts. Just imagine all the fun aspects of their backgrounds and worlds they could have brought to Harry and his friends!
