What if Harry Potter was a murder mystery like Murder on the Orient Express?

Murder on the Orient Express is coming out and it had me thinking: What if Harry Potter and his friends had to solve a murder instead of fighting Voldemort?

Harry Potter gave us the world of magic and we’re forever grateful. But as fans of the series, we’re often left wondering what the series could have been in different scenarios. Today? What would have happened if it was a murder mystery like Murder on the Orient Express but with magic?

We got a bit of the mystery elements in the series and even more so during Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. But an entire series set around the murder of someone with magic involved? Count me in!

For those who don’t know the plot, Murder on the Orient Express follows a group of people on a train trying to solve a murder that happens when they’re all onboard. Now, I don’t think we necessarily need that much of a series like that with magic.

But just having them have to solve a murder and Harry and his friends being the ones to do it? That’s enough for me. I just think it’d be fun and we kind of got hints of it throughout the series with them trying to solve mysteries surrounding the school.

Maybe I just like the idea of higher stakes (not that the series didn’t have high stakes to begin with). Either way, it’d be fun to just put our favorite characters in different scenarios to see how they’d be able to cope with things other than the typical wizarding world mayhem.
