What would happen to Hogwarts when the internet came along?

Now I know we’ve seen Hogwarts in modern day times with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child but what happens when the internet is made prominent?

The internet is a wonderful place but does it belong at Hogwarts? Look, we love the internet. You’re reading this because the internet exists. But what we’ve never seen is how technology influenced the wizarding world.

The original timeline took place in the 90s, before technology really bloomed into what we know it to be today. So would all that change if the series was set now? What about when Albus goes to school? Wouldn’t he have a smart phone that he could FaceTime his family with and ask them about everything going on?

Do you think Siri would know all about the wizarding world and tell us if it exists? (I asked Siri, she didn’t have any information so that’s disappointing.) I just think it is slightly strange that any medical/technological advances do not reach the wizarding world.

Maybe that is the point? So that they keep themselves completely removed and safe? But still, even sometimes our modern technology is a little more convenient then the spells our favorite witches and wizards would do.

Asking Siri has to be a lot faster than accioing a book to you and having to look through it for the answer. But I guess the wizards and witches can’t have it all. It’s either protect their world or have an iPhone and I think we know which one they’d want to chose.
