Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 3 episode 3: Josh Is A Liar

We saw Rebecca Bunch spill it all to Josh Chan on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend last week. So what happened afterwards? Well, it’s quite the interesting story.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has been taking us on quite the journey with Rebecca. She’s been trying to fix her life since Josh Chan called off their wedding. And since, she hasn’t exactly been the Rebecca we know.

Or maybe she has been and this is just the side to Rebecca that Robert saw. Whatever the case may be, everything is coming to a head for Miss Bunch and it might not be for the better.

Rebecca and Rebecca

Throughout the episode, Rebecca’s anxiety manifested itself in the form of her childhood self. Child Rebecca doesn’t let up and really tries to make older Rebecca’s life miserable, but not because she hates her older self. It is just literally Rebecca talking to herself.

Child Rebecca ends up vanishing in the end, and we don’t know if it is for good or if she’s only gone until Rebecca’s anxiety is back in full force.

Time to leave school, Heather

Heather has always been a student. Nothing more and nothing less. But now that she’s taken almost every class her college has to offer, she has to graduate. And she isn’t exactly happy about it. But she does have an amazing musical number to express how upset she is to be leaving.

Rebecca doesn’t do much to help Heather, especially when Heather reaches out for her advice. So instead, Heather has to plan to wear her cap and gown and finally become an adult.

Ruining Josh Chan

The main plot of the episode is that Rebecca has to ruin Josh Chan and make everyone think he’s a liar. That way when he tries to tell everyone of the things that Rebecca has admitted to, they won’t believe him.

The problem is that Josh has the information on Robert,  and Rebecca starts to feel guilty about it. But when she realizes that Josh, Paula and Father Brah all know her past, she wants to flee.

Nathaniel goes to the zoo

Nathaniel loves Rebecca, that much is clear. But he doesn’t have the best timing to tell her. So when she doesn’t show up for their date, he gets upset and goes to her house to tell her that he has feelings. That is, after he’s gone to the zoo.

When Nathaniel tells Rebecca he’ll take her anywhere, she decides to run away to Rome with him. But the end of the episode finds us stuck watching Rebecca and Nathaniel together while Paula and all her friends stop her to talk about Rebecca’s past.
