15 top Halloween movie crushes, past and present

10. Jean-Luc Bilodeau — Trick’r’Treat (2007)
As a kid, the best part of Halloween is, of course, trick-or-treating. After all, it’s the one night out of the year year where accepting candy from strangers is socially acceptable. But, in Michael Dougherty’s Trick’r’Treat, the age-old tradition becomes terrifying, as the movie opens on a school principal handing out poisoned candy.
The movie itself is an anthology film, broken into four separate stories, each as horrifying as the last. The common element tying the stories together is Sam, a creepy child trick-or-treater in orange footie pajamas with a burlap sack over his head.
The scares intensify throughout the movie, but the fear is eased at least a little, thanks to Jean-Luc Bilodeau’s portion of the story. Though he starts as an accomplice to a cruel joke, he does know when things have gone too far, and becomes comforting.
Jean-Luc Bilodeau has been quietly stealing hearts for years. Diehard Disney Channel fans will recognize him as Jay Kepler, the adorable, not-so-subtly lovestruck best friend to Abby in 16 Wishes. But before his Disney days, he played Schrader in Trick’r’Treat.
As he’s grown, Jean-Luc Bilodeau has gone from adorable best friend to great leading man. He wrapped a successful series run on Freeform’s hit comedy Baby Daddy in May, where he played a goofy, good-hearted single dad.
Through six seasons of highlights, Bilodeau’s most swoon-worthy moment happened in the series finale.
So, after watching Baby Bilodeau in Trick’r’Treat, watching him sing in Baby Daddy will make falling asleep much easier.
