The reputation era is shaping out to be one of the most successful eras in Taylor Swift’s career and her new song “Gorgeous” is bound to be another hit.
Later last Thursday / early Friday (October 20), Taylor Swift dropped a new song entitled “Gorgeous”. Many weren’t sure what to expect from the track but now that we’ve heard it, we can safely say it’s one of our favorites. While the track is just a promotional single for the album, it’s still allowed to become a hit, and it already is.
Swift co-wrote the track with writers Max Martin and Shellback. The track itself depicts the pursuit of a love interest or someone who’s so attractive that it actually hurts. It’s a lighthearted, simultaneous track that will, in fact, be stuck in your head in the weeks to come. “Gorgeous” is a track where Swift brilliant writes in a way that only a person under the influence would write, especially since she repeats some of the same phrases over and over again. But in a way, the way Swift has written the track is brilliant and relatable to anyone who’s ever been scared to talk to their crush.
“Gorgeous” has spent the last few days sitting at the No.1 spot on the iTunes chart and is set to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 in the near future. We see another hit in Swift’s future and we aren’t complaining. We can’t get the song out of our heads and we know you can’t either. If you have yet to hear the song, check out the lyric video below:
Taylor Swift’s sixth studio album reputation is set to hit stores and streaming services everywhere on November 10.
