Can we classify Lord Voldemort as a monster?

Yes we all hate Lord Voldemort (as we should). But can we technically classify him as a monster? I say yes, do it. He’s the worst.

Lord Voldemort is obviously the bad guy in the Harry Potter series. We are not supposed to feel for him in any capacity. He’s a murderer. So does that make him a monster or what can we technically classify him as?

We love labelling people and I think often times the black and white areas are very broad. So when it comes to Voldemort (who’s about in the darkest area you can get), we have to ask ourselves is he a monster or just terrible?

Personally, I say he’s a monster. His views are barbaric and he led his people to mass killings because of his warped sense of reality. I don’t think there is an ounce of good in Tom Marvolo Riddle and to label him as anything other than the worst of them all would be unjust.

Yes there are even worse people in the Harry Potter series (looking at you Umbridge) but they at least have some sense of humanity. Voldemort, to me, does not. His humanity has lost him, leaving behind the empty shell of a monster to cause destruction and chaos.

So yeah, I think we can safely label him as a monster and have no remorse about it. And if there are people who defend Voldemort and his actions, let’s stop and look at that for a second. Because there is nothing good about him and you shouldn’t want to follow Voldemort or his views.

Next: Granger Danger is still just as catchy as ever before
