By Kara Johnson
Taylor Swift’s new song “Gorgeous” arrived late Thursday / early Friday and is already receiving major airplay.
The track isn’t offered as an official single from Swift but radio has chosen to play it right away, causing it go to hit airplay the first day of its release. This proves that the song, like her others “Look What You Made Me Do” and “…Ready For It?” could be a major song on the radio charts and Billboard charts.
According to Mediabase, Los Angeles’ 97.1 AMP, Orlando’s XL106.7 FM, and Dallas’ Hot 93.3 had played the song at least 10 times by Friday’s closing. Miami’s Hits 97.3 and Chattanooga’s 103.7 KISS FM each offered 9 spins by the end of the day, and New York’s 92.3 AMP provide 8 plays.
Other radio stations who have played the track include Milwaukee’s 10.7 KISS, Boston’s 103.3 AMP and Nashville’s 107.5 The River. The song was played by dozen other radio stations across the country between one and six times, making the song hit major airplay across the nation. Seemingly, “Gorgeous” is another track of Swift’s that is bound to be a hit. It just goes to show who the real queen of pop and the modern day world is.
“Gorgeous” is featured on Swift’s sixth studio album reputation. The album also includes her other hits “Look What You Made Me Do” and “….Ready For It?” Both tracks have been successful on the charts. Reputation is set to hit stores and streaming services everywhere on November 10. Will you be buying yourself a copy? We certainly are.
