Did Taylor Swift just write a new song about her longtime nemesis, Kanye West?

On the heels of Swift’s Instagram announcement about the upcoming release of her new song, “Gorgeous,” a report by Elite Daily claims that the singer may be dissing the rapper, who targeted her in his single “Famous” several months ago.

What are the clues?

As the outlet explained, the font of the word “Gorgeous” in the clip shared by Swift on October 19 appears to be the same font used by West on his last album, Life of Pablo, and there’s also an even bigger clue at her potentially upcoming diss. According to the report, West released a song with the same title on his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which was released just months after he infamously stole the microphone from her at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

While Elite Daily acknowledged that West’s “Gorgeous” was not a Swift diss track, his album was about fame and Swift’s upcoming album, Reputation, appears to be about the same thing.

Taylor Swift and Kanye West made amends briefly

Swift and West publicly made amends years ago but after the release of “Famous,” their reconciliation came to an abrupt end. Then, after Kim Kardashian released a clip of a phone conversation between Swift and West which she claimed proved Swift had known about the track’s lyrics prior to the release, their feud reached an all-time high.
