The One Day She’ll Darken cast has us screaming for joy

The story of Fauna Hodel is coming to our screens in One Day She’ll Darken. And now we have a wonderful cast to get us ready!

Patty Jenkins has done it again with her cast for One Day She’ll Darken. Or more specifically, she’s done it for me alone. Basically, the cast list came out and I screamed realizing that maybe no one else would care about anyone other than Chris Pine.

Now look, you know I love Chris Pine, but Jefferson Mays is nothing to sneeze at, either. If you haven’t seen his work, you’re really missing out. The former star of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder has taken home the Tony and for good reason: he’s absolutely incredible.

India Eisley as Fauna Hodel is also pretty great casting. For those who didn’t go through a Secret Life of the American Teenager phase, she played Shailene Woodley’s little sister.

I’m aware that I’m a biased partisan between Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins. But this project just seems so incredibly interesting and I think it is going to be an amazing series.

According to Variety, the rest of the main cast includes the following:

"Yul Vazquez (“Last Flag Flying”) as Billis; Justin Cornwell (“Training Day,” “We Are Boats”) as Terrence Shye; Dylan Smith (“Maze Runner: The Death Cure,” “Lemonade”) as Sepp; Jay Paulson (“Mad Men”) as Ohls; and Golden Brooks (“Girlfriends”) as Jimmy Lee. Previously announced star Leland Orser will appear as Peter Sullivan, a night managing editor for the Los Angeles Times."
