Is Taylor Swift On The Verge Of Winning A Grammy Award
Taylor Swift may win a Grammy Award in 2018.
While the Grammy Awards are nothing new for Swift, a source claims the singer may be on the verge of winning yet another Grammy Award but this time, it’s not for her own song. Instead, a new report reveals, Swift could earn a Grammy Award for her collaboration with Zayn Malik, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” or for her songwriting nod on Little Big Town’s “Better Man.”
Why isn’t ‘Reputation’ eligible for a Grammy Award
On October 7, Gold Derby shared a report in regard to Swift’s music, revealing that while Swift’s new album, Reputation, won’t be eligible for an award until 2019, the two songs she worked on months ago, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and “Better Man,” could garner her at least one award in 2018.
In addition, the outlet added, her first single from Reputation, “Look What You Made Me Do,” will be eligible for a 2018 Grammy Award because it was released in August. The awards it could be eligible for include Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo, and Best Music Video. As for “I Don’t Wanna Live,” that song could win either Best Pop Duo/Group or Best Visual Media Song.
Taylor Swift is no stranger to winning Grammy Awards
When it comes to “Better Man,” Gold Derby suspected the track could take away the Grammy Award for Song of the Year or for Best Country Song. As the outlet revealed, Swift won the Grammy for Best Country Song in 2010 for “White Horse” and in 2012 for “Mean.”
