Game of Thrones season 8: Another actress is apparently on the scene

If Game of Thrones season 8 feels a little too far away for your tastes, worry not, because the cast is getting ready to begin work.

Can you believe it’s already been over a month since Game of Thrones finished airing season 7? We can’t, either, but what we do know for sure is that we’re ready to get back to Westeros, and so, apparently, are some of the cast members.

Thanks to our sister site, Winter is Coming, we know who’s next up. WiC speculates that this picture is from Belfast, home of Titanic Studios and thus the heart of Thrones-related activity already…

Well, the start of the caption to Lena Headey’s Instagram post, “Season 8,” about sums it up.

Even though, as WiC points out, these probably aren’t her actual wigs, it must feel a little weird to have so much fake hair back on her head after spending the last couple seasons with a much shorter hairstyle for Cersei Lannister, albeit one that did get longer in season 7, enough to brush her neck.

Does it actually mean anything for the season to come? Probably not. For Cersei’s hair to go long again would require the kind of time skip we don’t think Game of Thrones is willing to make for its eighth season. We can go backward in time thanks to Bran, but a time-skip for the entire cast just doesn’t seem feasible — especially not for the younger actors like Isaac Hempstead Wright, whom we’ve seen literally grow up over the past seven seasons.

Next: Game of Thrones season 8 is going to be pricey

It just wouldn’t be believable, not that believability is the first, second, or even third concern on a show where tree people used to exist, certain people go into animals’ minds, and there are also magical creatures of the undead led by literally the Night King.
