Bruce Springsteen Speaks About Taylor Swift as a Songwriter

In a recent interview with Variety, Bruce Springsteen opens up about Taylor Swift as a songwriter and how he views her as an artist.
Springsteen gave Variety an inside look into his iTunes playlist and who some of his favorite contemporary songwriters are at the moment. He chose some including Steve Earle, Lana Del Ray, Iron & Wine and Jakob Dylan. It’s evident that he has an eclectic taste in music and he doesn’t shy away when it comes to how he views a certain songwriter that didn’t make the list, but he couldn’t help but speak about her anyway.
When asked about his autobiography and mentioning him taking his daughter Jessica to a Swift concert, he sang her praises, and we can’t blame him. Swift is outstanding and we always knew Springsteen had a soft spot for the songstress. After all, they have performed together before. It’s a testament to who Swift as an artist when others like Springsteen speak about her in such high regard.
Well, there you have it. Now you know just how well Springsteen knows Swift’s music. Her songwriting should be held to a high standard. After all, she is one of the best. If Springsteen thinks so, you should too.
