The Iowa Department of Transportation has taken an interesting route to promote drivers to stay safe.

Ahead of the release of Taylor Swift’s new album, the state has adopted lyrics from her first single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” and used them to encourage drivers against using their cell phones while behind the wheel.

As part of their Zero Fatalities campaign, the Iowa Department of Transportation have posted Swift’s lyrics, “Old Taylor can’t come to the phone,” on their road signs.

“Old Taylor can’t come to the phone… she’s driving,” the signs read, according to a report by Mashable on October 3.

Iowa is one witty state

According to the report, Iowa’s Zero Fatalities campaign was first launched in 2013 and ever since, the state has chosen fun phrases to promote safe driving.

What does Taylor Swift think about the signs?

Unfortunately, Swift doesn’t appear to have weighed in on the funny signs quite yet but because the signs have been shared for a good cause, it is hard to think that she would be anything but amused by Iowa’s use of her lyrics.

Taylor Swift is set to release new music soon

In just weeks, Swift fans will be treated to a number of new songs on her highly anticipated Reputation album. Swift first announced that the album would be released on November 10 in August around the time that her “Look What You Made Me Do” music video made its world debut at the 2017 MTV Music Awards.
