American Horror Story: Cult is moving along creepily and deftly, but so far, has left us with more questions than answers.

Last week, we all anxiously devoured the third installment of AHS: Cult, and it’s safe to say that most of us were shocked at best and horrified at worst. We dealt with tons of murder, our (questionable) heroine being subjected to literal nationwide scrutiny, a potential breakup, a city-wide ongoing chemical attack, and a guinea pig exploding in a microwave. And as though that weren’t enough, we’re now all left with the unsettling feeling that the leader of the cult might be closer to home than we (and our characters) think, AND the imminent threat of our main fam, the Mayfair-Richards, being murdered. To say this season is intense is as gross

In a world with not enough of it, the good news is that next week, if we take the eerily titled “11/9” at face value, we’re likely to get a closer look at the intricacies of our characters’ lives and the real-world reverberations of the day after the election. Whether this episode will be a continued thinly-veiled metaphor, a disturbing look into our potential worst-case-scenario future or a delicious blend of the two remains unseen. But let’s be real, it’s gonna be that.
