Why I think J.K Rowling gets a lot of hate on Twitter

When it comes to trolls attacking, J.K Rowling seems to fight them off daily. And I think I’ve finally figured out why everyone seems to come for her.

Twitter is often not very kind to J.K Rowling. And I think I’ve figured out why. So a lot of the time, Rowling’s hatred comes from ‘once fans’ of her series. Do they ever say they stop loving it? No, in fact, they place their anger towards her and her views.

Often they complain that her political views have changed their opinion on a series they used to love. Which makes me think that the hate she gets isn’t necessarily because of anything Rowling’s really doing but rather because these people can’t stand that a hero of theirs doesn’t believe in the same thing.

Which, I guess, in this political climate, happens more often than not. But she is almost harmless in her political views. Yes she uses her Twitter to express her anger with what’s going on but she doesn’t condemn her fans who support certain political figures or anything like that.

Often why she gets political is because someone else tweets at her or she sees a tweet by a celebrity.

So why to I think our fearless J.K Rowling gets a lot of trolls? I think it is because her fans are upset that her views differ than their own. That their ‘hero’ who created a series they love doesn’t respect someone they do.

So I think it freaks them out and they revolt by blaming her and saying rude things to the woman who gave us the world.

My solution to this entire thing is to just say if you do’t agree with Rowling (even though she’s right), just ignore it.
