Kelsea Ballerini and Taylor Swift are the best of friends. During the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Ballerini spills on her texting conversations with Swift.
During an interview with Billboard at the biggest music festival of the year this weekend, the country songstress revealed the inside scoop of her friendship with Swift on Friday (September 22) at the TMobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Both singers are releasing albums in the month of November (one week apart to be exact). Ballerini’s sophomore album Unapologetically will hit stores on November 3 and Swift’s reputation will follow suit on November 10. The country star revealed that she has yet to hear Swift’s album but they talk about the new music a lot. “I was talking to her today. She was talking to me about “High School” ’cause I just put it out,” she tells Billboard. “She’s amazing and she’s supportive. We’re obviously in different genres now, but we’re both songwriters at heart.”
We love that Swift reaches out to her friend about new music that’s on the horizon. We wonder if the pop superstar will play the album for her. If not, we know that Ballerini can’t wait to see what’s in store for Swift next. “She’s the biggest superstar in the whole world and I’m so excited to hear her record”. Aren’t we all? We love how much the country songstress loves Swift and she doesn’t stop gushing about her.
When asked about the best advice Swift has given her, Ballerini shared something that we can all take to heart. “She’s just really good at just like being yourself. That’s always been her advice – go with your gut, go with your heart. Follow that and not anything else.” What great advice that was given by a legend.

We sure hope these two friends collaborate in the future. Until then, we’re just happy to bask in the glory of their friendship and admire it from afar. After all, we all wish we were friends with these two superstars. Here’s hoping Ballerini makes another appearance on Swift’s upcoming tour.
