Brie Larson has arrived on site for Avengers 4 alongside Chris Evans, thanks to a tweet from Atlanta Filming. But is anyone really surprised by this?
Sure, Thor: Ragnarok comes out in less than two months, but fans still wait impatiently for our first glimpse at Avengers: Infinity War. Because you know it’s going to be so much like that airport scene in Captain America: Civil War, but with everyone instead of just a select few (which was still a lot of people).
And after Infinity War? We have an unnamed sequel (now that it’s not split up into two parts). We still want to know who lives, who dies, who tells your story who shows up in the sequel, even with the movie still months and months away.
Thanks to the lovely little tweet below (and an assist from CBR), we have one of the first spoilers about Avengers 4:
And it pretty much gives away nothing. Really, it doesn’t. Are you really that surprised about Brie Larson’s appearance as Carol Danvers? Joe Russo debunked the idea that she makes her debut in Infinity War, as CBR notes, so why not the sequel?
After all, her debut film comes out March 8, 2019, with Avengers 4 swooping in soon after on May 3. It’s not much of a jump to guess she’ll show up in some capacity.
Captain Marvel will star Brie Larson as the titular character and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, who hasn’t shown up since, what, Winter Soldier? What was he up to in the ’90s, which is when the film is set?
More accurately, what has Carol Danvers been doing since the ’90s, since she apparently showed up there?
Captain Marvel will also be Marvel’s first female-led movie, which is also exciting for fans. But we still have a few movies to go before we get there.
