Suddenly everyone is talking about young Colin Firth and where have you been?

Like I get it, we all have celebrities we didn’t realize were hot when they were young but Colin Firth? Really? You guys just forgot?

Recently, Buzzfeed posted about young Colin Firth and continued to show scenes from a movie he was in before Pride and Prejudice. Which, fine. We might not know he was hot in his twenties. But you know what’s fun about Firth?

He’s hot now! And in his forties and thirties and so then he’d probably be hot in his twenties as well! We all should just love Firth for his range of films as well as his acting abilities. The sudden “did you know he used to be a babe” articles are a little annoying.

Not because people shouldn’t talk about babe Colin Firth but because well, yeah. Obviously he was a babe. He’s hot as the gentleman he is now as well. So why is anyone really surprised? Now again, maybe the author is just jumping on the Firth bandwagon.

To which I say: welcome. You have some great films ahead of you. My personal favorite is A Single Man. But if not, then you’re just telling most of the public what they already know. Colin Firth will always be the British gentleman who stole our hearts.

Whether he be Mr. Darcy or…Mr. Darcy (Mark Darcy that is), Colin Firth is one of our great actors. And he’s the gentleman of our dreams. So of course we know that he was hot when he was young. What are we? Heathens?
