Wonder Woman 2 has a director and may we all praise Patty Jenkins

We all love Patty Jenkins. With her work on Wonder Woman, she became a household name. And now we have Wonder Woman 2 to look forward to!

As someone who thoroughly loves Patty Jenkins, imagine my excitement when it was announced that Jenkins is already working on Wonder Woman 2. Oh, that’s right. Jenkins is coming back to direct the sequel and reports are saying that she’s the highest paid female director because of it.

We’ve had a lot of rumors about what is actually happening. Whether it be that the movie is going to be set during the Cold War or that Chris Pine is coming back as Steve Trevor, there are still a lot of unknowns for the sequel.

Lucky for us all though, the director is no longer in question. Patty Jenkins and company confirmed today that she’s already hard at work with Geoff Johns to create the script. According to Variety, Johns only has one goal with the sequel.

"The goal is to make another great ‘Wonder Woman’ film."

And really, isn’t that what we all want? After the success that Wonder Woman had, we’re all just fascinated with everything to do with this franchise. And as it should. We’ve waited long enough for a movie starring Diana Prince, is it really a surprise that this is suddenly a hot topic? Especially since they’re trusting Patty Jenkins with a Christmas release.

After all, she did save summer with her film. So why not try and take Christmas too? Personally, I trust in Patty’s vision for the character and I think she will do amazing with the sequel. It’s just too bad that we have to wait until December of 2019 to see anything to do with Wonder Woman 2. Or we can just wait for Justice League to come out to help us get our Diana fix.
