Taylor Swift is facing tons of new rumors about who her new song, “Ready For It,” is about and while many have suspected that Harry Styles inspired the song, a new report suggests it may have actually been written about Swift’s relationship with her current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

“Some, Some, Some boys are trying too hard / He don’t try at all though / Younger than my exes but he acts like such a man, though,” Swift sings on the new track.

According to an E! News report, Alwyn is 26-years-old, which makes him significantly younger than Swift’s two boyfriends before him. In fact, the British actor is seven years younger than Calvin Harris, who is 33, and ten years younger than Tom Hiddleston, who is 36.

Taylor Swift may have referenced her top-secret romance on ‘Ready For Love’

“Island breeze, lights down low / No one has to know,” she sings.

Is she talking about her super-secretive romance with Alwyn, who she has yet to make any red carpet appearances with? As E! News pointed out, Swift and Alwyn kept their relationship secret for several months before they were finally spotted together at an airport.

Did Taylor Swift use her current romance with Joe Alwyn to diss her exes?

On “Ready For Love,” Swift said that her previous romances, which include relationships with Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer, are failures in comparison to the man she’s talking about in the song.

“I forget their names now / I’m so very tame now / I’ll never be the same now,” she says.
