Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stoner will get yet another edition to brag about as its Kindle version brings some of our favorite scenes to animated life.

Harry Potter remains as one of those once-in-a-lifetime series that captures the hearts and minds of nearly everyone who cracks open a book. At age 11, we all hoped we’d receive a special letter in the mail, and decades later, many of us still hope to visit Hogwarts one day. Between the theme parks, movies and books, author J.K. Rowling consistently delivers new and fresh content to keep the world of Harry Potter alive. In addition to acting like a total gem on Twitter, she ushered in a new era with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. But having just celebrated a very special “19 years later” day, we all know that the most important moment was the day Hagrid blew the door in and said, “Yer a wizard, Harry.”

The original novels laid the foundation for years of enjoyment. Often, I feel caught off guard by how they grew in size from The Sorcerer’s Stone to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Based on the levity of the material, I tend to forget that Harry Potter began as a children’s novel found at Scholastic book fairs.

Which is why adding beautiful animated pictures makes all the sense in the world.

As recently announced, the Kindle edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone will use Amazon‘s Kindle in Motion technology to bring Jim Kay’s animated pictures to life.

iBooks did something similar, but also added never-before-seen author notes to their editions. It was awesome. These “Enhanced Editions” gave all seven books a new immersive experience. Before then, the books only were available through Pottermore.

So, now that just about everyone who likes eBooks can read themselves a Harry Potter, the Wizarding World must make room for even more wizards and witches.
