Just when we thought we might be getting a halftime show from Taylor Swift, ESPN refutes the report.

ESPN has denied the report about Taylor Swift performing at the College Football National Championship halftime show in January in Atlanta, Georgia. This news was initially reported by Entertainment Tonight.

The official statement from ESPN reads:

“Reports of Taylor Swift performing at the College Football Playoff National Championship are inaccurate. We are pleased that Taylor chose ESPN and ABC’s college football coverage as a platform to debut her new song “…Ready For It?” however, there is nothing more to announce at this time.”

ET reported that Swift would be performing a free concert at Centennial Olympic Park during halftime. Many thought this rumor could be true since two of Swift’s songs up her forthcoming album reputation has been featured in several college football commercials. But, as it turns out, we don’t really know for sure if Swift will be taking the stage in January.

We might not know if Swift is actually performing but we do know that her contract with Coca-Cola could hinder her chances of performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is sponsored by Pepsi. Her other sponsors are UPS and AT&T. Both are advertised frequently on ESPN.

What do you think? Do you hope Swift does perform in January? If so, which songs do you hope she performs? Let us know by sounding off in the comments below or tweeting us @FansOfTaylorFS
