Platform 9 3/4: My favorite moment going back to Hogwarts

Going back to Hogwarts is an important part of every Harry Potter book. And my favorite moment comes when Sirius Black takes Harry to the station.

Hogwarts is a beautiful place we all wish to go and lucky for the new students, today is the day! Students young and old return to the magical school of our dreams. So what are we here to talk about? Well, my favorite Platform 9 and 3/4 moment.

For me, it is when Sirius Black risks everything to go see Harry off. He wants to spend as much time with Harry as he can before he goes back to school and that, in turn, makes his eventual death even more bittersweet.

Granted I know that a lot of this is because Sirius is my favorite character but still. I love him and just want the best for him and for Harry. But this moment is special because they share a real moment before Harry has to go back to Hogwarts.

Now I know that I’m in love with this scene because Sirius Black is my favorite character but still. It is a changing point for Harry and the series as a whole. Sirius even says that it they are the ‘young ones now’ meaning that it is up to Harry and his friends to do what is right.

It is also so sweet that he risked everything to see Harry off. Beforehand, no one cared enough to risk something to see Harry off to school. But Sirius was willing to risk everything just to say goodbye to him. And that’s something extremely special.
