If you’ve been wondering when Apple would officially wow consumers with their next generation iPhone 8, we finally know when it’s happening.

Like every year, rumors of the next iPhone design have been swirling around the internet for quite some time. From manufacturer leaks to amazing concept videos, many iPhone fans expect the iPhone 8 to be bigger and grander than ever before. Why? Because Apple wants to celebrate 10 years of iPhones, of course.

Now, that’s 10 years of (successfully) tricking people into thinking that they aboslutely need an iPhone and 10 years of amassing one of the most loyal tech fanbases in the world.

So, naturally, we all want to see exactly what Apple has in store. On Sept. 12, Tim Cook and his team will head to the all-new Steve Jobs Theater to unveil the iPhone 8, the next edition WatchOS and other upcoming projects.

Some of the features we expect the iPhone 8 to include are “edge-to-edge” display and a return to glass panels on the front and back to accommodate wireless charging. For a good visual, imagine an iPhone 4 and a Galaxy phone made a baby. There’s also going to be a weird, new ‘Oompa-Loompa after a few hours on set’ color.

While I’m super into the idea of a more virtual home button, I don’t know if I’m ready to say goodbye to that little circle yet. Especially since I think the haptic feedback home button found on current models happen to be revolutionary enough as it is.

And though it took me three iPhones to finally accept that I’m an Apple flunky, this iteration may be the hardest one to defend based on some of their aesthetic choices, like the vertical camera and “ledge” at the top where the camera sits. Apparently, it’s for facial recognition, but I’m not a fan of that anyway.

The Apple Event takes place on Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. PT.
