Misty Knight has a new look for Luke Cage’s season two, and if you watched The Defenders, you know why. Here’s your first official look!

Sweet Christmas, we have our first look at Misty Knight in Marvel’s Luke Cage season two!

We’re sure you binge-watched The Defenders right along with us, but just in case, here’s a friendly spoiler warning.

In the final episode, Bakuto slices off Misty’s arm as she tries to intervene in his fight against Colleen. “Well, that’s how it happens here!” I exclaimed right afterward. It was hinted at before in the season finale of Luke Cage when she was given a nasty wound with lots of blood loss.

And we all hoped. Alas, it took until The Defenders for her to lose her original arm.

And now our first look at Luke Cage’s second season is all about her brand new bionic arm. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for the brand new picture.

Everyone’s question is how high-tech her arm really will be. Set in this more realistic world of street superheroes, probably not super crazy. The comics version gives her energy blasts and superhuman strength.

But my question is: will this give us an MCU character cameo? Specifically, the one that will run the most expensive…

In the comics, Misty’s arm is the most recent Stark tech, designed by Tony himself. How expensive is it to get Robert Downey Jr. to show up for fifteen seconds? (Answer: Probably very.) He can easily show up days after the finale and thank her for her service and oh, here’s something I just had laying around, enjoy!

Too bad they’ll probably go the easier route and leave it funded by Rand Industries. Which is sad and further proves these two universes will remain completely separate despite “The Incident.”

Misty Knight is also is half of a crime-fighting duo with Colleen Wing, the Daughters of the Dragon. Which was also teased in The Defenders finale. Here’s hoping that happens sooner rather than later.
