1. Jon Snow will defeat the Night King

He has a blade of Valyrian steel, doesn’t he?

As much as it would be cool for Daenerys to roast the Night King, it might very well come down to one climatic, one-on-one fight between the scion of two great Houses and the big existential threat to his entire way of life. The show has made a big deal about how Jon is capable of defeating White Walkers with Longclaw (and he also now carries a dragonglass dagger that he’s put to use already).

The Night King might be stronger than White Walkers, but that doesn’t mean he’s immune to everything. Maybe it’ll take a team effort with Jon just striking the final blow, but it would be oddly fitting, wouldn’t it?

We’re probably a long ways away from the final confrontation, but for now, this seems likeliest of all.

Until Game of Thrones picks up filming again, we won’t know if any of these predictions come true, but these are pretty early guesses. What do you want to see happen in season 8 of the show? What do you think’s going to happen? (Yes, they can be two different things!)
