Alan Rickman in Bottleshock: How versatile he truly was

Watching Bottleshock makes you realize just how much we all miss Alan Rickman! He was so amazing and watching is work reminds us what we lost.

I watched Bottleshock for the first time today and it made me very sentimental for Alan Rickman. Not because I ever wasn’t but rather because I was watching a movie where he wasn’t Snape or that wasn’t Love Actually for the first time since his death.

He became so prominent in our lives that we often forget about how amazing his work truly is. Now, Bottleshock isn’t exactly the best Rickman but it is still a pretty fun movie to watch. And it also reminds us that Alan wasn’t just the villain in Die Hard or Snape.

He is so much more and it truly is sad that we’re not going to see him anymore. Now he’s been dead for almost two years but that doesn’t change the fact that he meant a lot to us fans of the Harry Potter series.

Bottleshock is a movie about a French wine connoisseur (Alan Rickman) who goes to Napa to see the California wine scene in the 1970s. He befriends a Napa valley wine guy’s son and finds the best bottles in Napa Valley to take to a contest in France.

Bill Pullman (the wine guy in Napa) thinks his wine is terrible and quits because it is brown. But his son (Chris Pine) finds out that that means he made a perfect bottle of wine. Rickman is a delight in the movie and it is just a side to him that we haven’t seen.
