Millie Bobby Brown and Malala Yousafzai exchange Twitter compliments and our hearts can’t take it
It’s Friday, and here’s a little dose of positivity for you: Malala Yousafzai and Millie Bobby Brown have exchanged amazing tweets.
Considering that a certain blonde pop star has taken over today with a very weird song about how she doesn’t “trust nobody and nobody trusts” her, it is time for a little more positivity in the world, and here is that positivity: Millie Bobby Brown and Malala Yousafzai, also known as Eleven in Stranger Things and the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner ever, respectively, are apparently awesome enough to also encourage each other on Twitter.
Excuse us while our hearts constrict out of sheer feelings.
The context goes a little something like this. We learned about a week ago that Yousafzai would be headed to Oxford. Naturally, being that she is also awesome albeit in a different way, Brown just tweeted out a casual heart and compliment:
Now, it took some time for Yousafzai to respond, but we really can’t blame her for that. She’s preparing to go to Oxford and is continuing her work as an activist for, as her Twitter bio so succinctly puts it, “girls’ education and women’s equality.” She does not have much time for Twitter, in other words.
But she has time for a fellow fantastic lady:
Okay, so Yousafzai doesn’t quite follow Brown on Twitter yet, but Brown does follow Yousafzai. This makes sense, though—Yousafzai doesn’t really follow that many people on Twitter, and she’s only tweeted about 85 times since joining last month.

It’s just a nice moment of positivity between a well-known teenage actress and an even more well-known young woman who’s been working for equality since her teens. Look, there’s not much more to say than that, but the fact that these two can take moments and connect … yeah, that’s just flat-out cool.
