Saturday’s face-off between retired boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. and MMA powerhouse Conor McGregor is expected to be one of the biggest pay-per-view events in history.

How appropriate that it’s Throwdown Thursday and there is a literal throwdown this weekend that everybody’s talking about: That’s right, it’s the Mayweather McGregor fight and it’s set for Saturday.

In case you’re not super knowledgeable about boxing or MMA fighting, but you’re still headed to your college roommate’s viewing party this weekend, here’s a quick rundown (you can find a more comprehensive guide to the fight and its significance here): organizers are expecting this Las Vegas fight, between 40-year-old retired boxing champ Floyd Mayweather and 29-year-old MMA fighter Conor McGregor, to be one of the largest pay-per-view events in history. Mayweather is largely expected to win, but really, anything could happen.

For some context, Mayweather is a pretty controversial figure in that he has a history of domestic violence and other transgressions that have made headlines. McGregor has also found himself in hot water from time to time for comments he’s made that have been called racist.

People are pretty hyped about Saturday’s fight anyway, and we’re not just talking people who are in with the pro boxing/MMA in crowd. Our friends over at FanSided report that celebrities from LeBron James to Drake to Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron are set to attend the match at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
