According to a new report, Swift, who teased new music online on Monday, August 21, is preparing for the release of the first song off her upcoming sixth studio album.

“Taylor is overwhelmed with excitement about her new single and music video for the track to both be dropping on the same day, which is currently planned for this Friday, the 25th,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life on August 21. “This would be the first single from her new album and the drop on Friday may also be joined by an announcement from Taylor about the album date and pre-order information.”

Taylor Swift shared a snake video on Twitter on Monday

After completely deleting her social media pages and blacking out her official website days prior, Swift returned to Twitter to share a clip. A short time later, rumors of new music began swirling and some fans believe that they saw a hidden “25” in the tail of the snake.

In addition, Hollywood Life revealed, Swift’s Vevo lists 77 songs, but only 73 are visible, and when it comes to her list of videos, there are 141 with only 140 available.

When will Taylor Swift’s album be released?

“She’s aiming to release an album this fall,” a source told Us Weekly magazine in May. “She’s continuing down the pop route because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album. She knows there’s a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She’s just excited to get back out there.”
