What if Harry Potter and Star Trek were in the same universe?

Have you ever thought about your favorite series crossing over? Well, what if Harry Potter eventually ended up in the Star Trek universe?

Let me start by staying that I’m aware that Star Trek takes place in the future. So there is a very real chance that these two franchises could co-exist in the same universe. But we just don’t know yet.

Now let’s go back to why this ever came to my mind. As a fan of many things, I always think of my favorite worlds crossing over. Like what if Star Wars was a prequel to the now peaceful-esque society that Starfleet helps look over in Star Trek? So on and so forth.

So why couldn’t the Harry Potter universe bleed into the Star Trek one? We have quite a while in our own timeline before Starfleet forms so maybe the magic of the wizarding world is how we ever figure out space travel in the capacity that is present in Star Trek.

Or maybe they just coexist peacefully, the members of Starfleet academy unaware of those wizards back on earth. I don’t really care how they could be connected, just that they are. I don’t know, it’s just fun to think about! Going through all your favorite things and having them interwoven? How amazing is that?

Now it’ll only happen in fanfictions and my dreams but maybe, just maybe, someone will read this and think “huh, that’d be fun”. And if they do, I’d like a walk on role in my Hogwarts robe on the bridge of the Enterprise please! (Yes, that’s the definition of a nerd dream.)
