Star Trek worlds collide as Adam Nimoy announces engagement to Terry Farrell

Get ready for this ship, Star Trek fans. It seems that Adam Nimoy has proposed to Deep Space Nine actress Terry Farrell and we’re excited!

Adam Nimoy is only in the Star Trek universe by association. And well, he made a great documentary about his connection as well. If his last name didn’t give it away, he’s the son of Leonard Nimoy. You know, Spock?

And if you weren’t sure on the name alone, trust me, you’d recognize him just by looking at him. (He was my brother’s professor in grad school and my brother still talks about how crazy it was for him. Obviously my brother loves Star Trek like myself.)

So while this is all amazing and fun, you know what’s even cooler? Adam Nimoy announced his engagement to Terry Farrell. You know, Lieutenant Commander Jadzia Dax from Deep Space Nine. Honestly it just makes a lot of us Star Trek fans excited.

Now, it really isn’t anyone’s business but isn’t it fun that the son of Spock and Dax are going to get hitched? Who would have ever thought? Here’s the thing: Jadzia Dax is pretty amazing. Deep Space Nine was the first full Star Trek series I watched and it is still one of my favorites. I’d highly suggest checking it out if you haven’t.

And with Adam, if you haven’t seen For the Love of Spock, you can watch it on Netflix. But I highly suggest bringing your tissues. I found myself crying uncontrollably over it. Especially if you love Spock and Leonard Nimoy. It gives a wonderful look at the actor, the character, and Adam Nimoy’s relationship with his father.
