Would a Harry Potter television series really work?

For many, there is nothing more exciting than the idea of a Harry Potter television series. But would it work or just fail?

Game of Thrones changed the game for book to film adaptations but would a Harry Potter show do well? Personally, I believe it would. The series can survive everything and anything especially a bad movie. (Looking at you Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.)

But would the show actually be any good? I mean look, my favorite book was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. So to see it played out as an entire television show? That’d be pretty cool. Plus then we’d be able to see more of the ghosts and all the intricate details we lost in the movies.

While the films did a great job, so many little traits of characters and plot were lost because of time. But with a television show, that wouldn’t be necessary. We have a chapter or two per episode and get to see every little detail we knew and loved growing up.

The question is, would they still consider it? If not, I think that it would be fun if they did that with a Marauders’s series. Either way, the show would be a success because of how much fans love this series. So there would still be an audience for whatever they chose to do.

Will we ever see a Harry Potter television show? Who knows but in the meantime, it’s a nice thing to think about. If we got to see our favorite characters week after week, we’d be oh so happy. So executives out there, give us the series we want! Trust me, we’d definitely tune in week after week.
