3. Daenerys and Tyrion will threaten to lay siege to King’s Landing
The idea behind this grand meeting is to try and get cooperation between Daenerys and Cersei. We would have added in Jon, but he’s metaphorically bent the knee and joined Team Targaryen.
One of the major shots of this preview shows Grey Worm, freshly returned from Casterly Rock, standing in formation with the other Unsullied outside the walls of the city, with the Dothraki riding in between the legions. Even though bringing an army helps ensure that Daenerys and everyone else will get out safely, they are also well-placed to start attempting to take the city by force.
What better way to compel Cersei to actually give her word to help than to say that they will march through the streets and burn her to death as soon as they break through the walls? Daenerys burned the Tarlys alive, and she has the Targaryen reputation to back her up. It doesn’t necessarily matter that Daenerys might not follow through with the threat. At that point, it’s all about the perception that she’s capable of doing it.
Now that she’s grieving her dragons and not willing to play games with Cersei anymore, we expect she might actually go through with it if she absolutely had to. Our fourth prediction makes us think, however, that Daenerys won’t have to.
