5. Daenerys flies into the grand meeting

If you pay close attention to the preview, Daenerys does not walk in with the rest of her entourage, which now includes Jon Snow. (More on that a little later, because whoo boy, we have a lot to say about those developments.) In fact, she’s nowhere to be seen.

She has the high ground, metaphorically speaking, and I think that she would like proving the point to Cersei Lannister that it is going to be hard to fight against her by flying in on Drogon’s back. If she only flies with Drogon, then it’s easy to hide that she has lost Viserion. Two dragons still makes her formidable, anyway, and Drogon is the largest of the lot. Additionally, Jaime would be quite familiar with Drogon, enough to assure his sister that yes, that’s the dragon that absolutely decimated his forces out on the Blackwater Rush.

Spoilers:

Yes, we knew she would make her way into King’s Landing, specifically the Dragonpit, and the location that the meeting takes place in is reported to be the Dragonpit. It’s pretty on the nose. Targaryen dragons are supposed to be in the Dragonpit, after all. Why wouldn’t she take Drogon there?
