Maggie Smith and the reason we look up to her so much

When it comes to important women, the Harry Potter series is full of them! And Maggie Smith is one of the best ones out there.

Maggie Smith is amazing. But you probably already knew that. The woman who brought Minerva McGonagall to life has been an important figure in our lives ever since. For many female fans of the series, we look up to her.

She’s strong and a brilliant actress and more importantly, she puts this series and the fans above anything else. The best story about Maggie comes from the filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2.

Maggie Smith had cancer but didn’t tell anyone. She didn’t want that to be what everyone talked about and it was such a strong move on her part that it truly shows Maggie’s character. She didn’t want everyone else to change their experience because of her and it truly makes us love her even more.

It also helps that Maggie Smith is just a generally amazing woman. She’s been around for quite sometime and for many of us, it took us having her as McGonagall for us to realize how amazing she really is.

Either way, we’ve seen how great she is and that we love her and everything she chooses to do. So this is dedicated to how brilliant Dame Maggie Smith is. She not only is a great actress, but she’s an even better role model and person for us to look up to.
