Taylor Swift literally broke the internet on Friday (August 18) due to a social media blackout by deleting all of her content. Of course, most of her accounts are open but they’ve got a blank space (see what we did there?). A profile picture isn’t even present. Nothing. Swift is leaving nothing behind meaning this is a new era.
If you know Swift at all, you know that she’s left several clues for her fans to figure out what on earth is happening. And leave it to the Swifties to come up with the greatest theories anyone could ever think of. We wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of the theories were true.

That’s What They Don’t See:

Many fans believe that the code “That’s What They Don’t See” is going to be the lead single off the album. It’s highly unlikely due to it being a lyric from “Shake It Off” and probably just means that we don’t see what’s coming and it’s going to come when we least expect it.
Grammy’s Deadline:
With the deadline for the Grammys just 6 weeks away it makes perfect sense for Taylor to drop the lead single before then #TS6ISCOMING

Well, this does make sense. It has no cryptic clues to what the album will be but to know that she could release something soon due to the Grammy’s deadline is very likely at this point.
Wait:
When you visit taylorswift.com/music or taylorswift.com/store it takes you to an error page with sound wave type flashes. A fan discovered that it also has Norse code on it, which spells out “wait”. Perhaps this means we have to wait a little longer to get new music or maybe it’s a clue that we don’t have to wait that long at all.
Time:
This theory has been going on for some time now, and it’s a solid theory. It could still go in that direction. We shall see.
Masquerade:
This is an interesting theory and one that we would love to see Swift go after. We don’t really know if this is the new beginning Swift is trying to achieve but it would be brilliant if it were.
Eclipse:
This is our favorite theory and the one that makes the most sense to us. Could Swift be dropping a new song during the eclipse? Could she beat out the sun? We will have to see.
