Our dreams have come true because Bonnie Tyler is going to be singing Total Eclipse of the Heart during the eclipse. Honestly, it’s perfect.

Chances are you know every word to at least one Bonnie Tyler song. More importantly, you probably know every word to “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. So in the midst of the world going crazy, the only really cool thing going on is everyone talking about the upcoming eclipse.

So what song is better to rock out to while looking at the stars than “Total Eclipse of the Heart”? Well, better is having Bonnie Tyler sing it during the actual eclipse.

That’s right everyone. You get to hear “Turn around bright eyes” as you’re watching whatever really happens at an eclipse. Listen, I’m going to be honest, I’m just in this for the Bonnie Tyler stuff.

Now here’s the big catch: she’ll be singing it live on a cruise. So if you weren’t confused before, you’ll definitely be confused now. Apparently “Total Eclipse of the Heart” is considered a pretty “evergreen” cruise ship song, so she will be singing the hit on Aug. 21.

It’s just very fitting. For those who weren’t interested in the eclipse (like myself), we suddenly care because really, who doesn’t love this song? We’re into everything and anything eclipse if you include belting out the lyrics “AND I NEED YOU NOW TONIGHT, AND I NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER”.
