15 pets named after pop culture that you can adopt right now

Jack Black at Doddridge County Humane Society, Inc. in Salem, West Virginia
Who doesn’t love Jack Black? The actor has played some truly iconic roles and performed in a two-person comedy band with his brother. We’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t at least seen clips from School of Rock or who can’t, at the very least, quote it.
He’s also got a soft side, which made lots of us fall in love with him (alongside Kate Winslet) in The Holiday. Plus, he’s popular with kids for voicing the titular character in Kung Fu Panda.
Now meet Jack Black, a labrador retriever with the biggest smile in the world. This energetic, playful dog is super people friendly, which makes sense since he’s named after such a popular funny guy. According to his adoption page, Jack Black would do best in a single pet home. He’s good with people, but not so much with other animals in leashless environments. That’s okay; with a face like that, he deserves all of the attention, anyway.
This handsome boy would make a great companion, especially if you want to start a band or practice martial arts in the yard. He’s up to date on all his shots and already neutered, and he seems like he’s all about giving and receiving love from his humans.
