Thumper at Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments in Dayville, Connecticut

Surprise! You didn’t think we’d just be talking about cats and dogs, did you? Tons of shelters also serve as temporary houses for other kinds of pets, including rabbits! This shelter in Connecticut has quite a few up for adoption, and this medium-sized, albino babe is one of them.

Thumper is a short-haired, male American Fuzzy Lop, which sounds like a description that came from Tumblr but is actually his breed! This albino cutie shares a name with one of the very best Disney characters of all time, and he wants your love just as badly. Although he doesn’t have the same coloring as Thumper from Disney’s Bambi, he’s still pretty darn cute. His big, floppy ears are especially darling.

Bambi may have been a rather scarring experience for most of us, but Bambi’s friends were one of the highlights of the whole film. Now you can have a rabbit friend of your own, if you live in Southern New England and bring this little man home. Even though Thumper isn’t surrounded by flowers in his picture, it’s pretty easy to picture him hanging out with a bunch of other animals, isn’t it? He’d make a great addition to any home, and looks like he’d really love pets.

If you’d like to adopt Thumper, see the info for his shelter below.
