Dora at Panhandle Animal Shelter in Ponderay, Idaho
Dora the Explorer inspired a sense of adventure in us all. She still is, though she’s a little more grown up now, in that bizarre trend where age-old cartoon characters suddenly age the same way as real people (if at a much slower rate). Her sense of adventure most likely inspired the name for Dora, a beautiful mixed breed with cute, floppy ears who’s currently at a shelter in Idaho.
Dora is a medium-sized dog who’s about three years old. It’s obvious from her photos that she’s very playful and likes to be outdoors, which is great for a family who likes to explore! If you need a companion to help you read the map from your trusty backpack and get to chocolate mountain, Dora is definitely your girl.
She hasn’t been at the Panhandle Animal Shelter very long, but she’s as eager for a furever home as her friends there. Not much information is listed about Dora on her adoption page, so we recommend that if you’re in the area and want to know more, you call the shelter with questions.
We can all use a little more adventure in our lives. Adopting a dog — especially one who shares a name with a famous (if animated) explorer! — can liven things up and offer new incentive to go outside.
