Celebrities and Harry Potter: Watching them talk all things wizards

Celebrities are just like us! They love Harry Potter and they love to talk about their love of it but sometimes it gets a little rough.

When it comes to your favorite celebrities loving things you do, it can be an exciting moment. But sometimes they get the cool perks of being a celebrity without the appreciation of the thing. I’m talking about my favorite actor (Chris Pine) going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child last year and not really knowing the Hogwarts houses.

On the flip of that, we have someone like Nina Dobrev who absolutely loves Harry Potter and is very open about that love. But it hurts in a strange way watching them get to experience the magic we, as fans, long to feel.

But I guess that’s the same with one person getting to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and their friend just having to sit back and watch. So while it’s not a terrible thing, it just is serious FOMO for all those on the outside looking in.

Which is the case with most things but with Harry Potter, many of us have a weird sense of inclusion with the series. We want to always see everything and anything Potter related and experience it all together (as we did the books and the movies).

So when others get to see something we don’t, we get a weird sense of FOMO. Especially if they’re a celebrity. But it’s okay if you’re jealous, we all are. Chris Pine got to see Cursed Child and couldn’t even say Slytherin right so, it’s not really fair.

Next: Severus Snape is a villain that most definitely didn’t deserve redemption

But, at the end of the day, we’re just all Harry Potter fans and that’s what matters most.
