Wizard and Whatnot’s #ManCrushMonday: Eddie Redmayne

In today’s #ManCrushMonday, we’re celebrating our very own film Newt Scamander, Eddie Redmayne!
It’s not hard to crush on the Fantastic Beasts star, is it? He ranges from incredibly hot to what the kids call a “smol bean”. (Yes! I am up with the kids!) I first fell in love with him during Les Miserables, but my love for him grew three sizes the day I saw him as Newt Scamander.
The way he played Newt was exactly like you would expect. First, it’s important to remember that Newt is a Hufflepuff (#hufflepuffpride). Hufflepuffs are caring and loyal, and how much more can you get than the scene in the suitcase? Eddie did a fantastic job with those animals in the suitcase, especially when you consider that they were all CGI.
How actors can work so well with CGI animals is beyond me. I just kind of gape and appreciate their talents.
Since Hufflepuffs are often overlooked, it was crucial to me (and probably others), that Eddie make sure that Newt was put in a good light. And he succeeded! No one can ever say that Hufflepuffs are stupid after seeing Newt Scamander in action.

The looks
Okay, we talked about how wonderful an actor he is…now it’s time to get to why you’d expect he’d be a #ManCrushMonday. He’s adorable. Somehow he manages to be cute with his freckles and pretty freakin’ hot when he gives you those eyes like he is in the picture to the right.
Also, speaking of eyes, look at them! Are they blue? Grey? Both? Are they the color of the ocean after a storm with gray speckles?
