2. Someone will not make it back to the Wall
This one’s kind of a layup. When Beric Dondarrion gets actual lines in a preview talking about “death is the enemy,” you know it’s about time to gear up for a Game of Thrones death scene yet again.
Speaking in terms of storyline, it would actually make a weird amount of sense for Ser Jorah Mormont to meet his bitter end so soon after surviving greyscale and getting a hug from Daenerys. (How weird was that, by the way? It was awkward to watch.)
It would be even better to see him rise again as a wight and have Daenerys have to fight one of her earliest advisers and allies on the field of battle someday, assuming the Wall falls or the spoilers we talked about on the last slide are accurate.
Spoilers:
The word is that Thoros also dies. However, I don’t consider these two characters possibly dying to be mutually exclusive. Why should one death preclude another on a show like this? Additionally, Jorah’s death would be even more of a gut punch to viewers, who have spent a lot more time with him over the seasons than they have Thoros of Myr. Besides, we’re sure that he could have a particularly poignant set of last words, something about his love for Daenerys before he expires and the Night King causes him to rise again.
