3. Tyrion’s going to get through to Daenerys

It was one of our big questions for “Eastwatch,” and it really didn’t get answered thanks to Tyrion paying a little visit to Jaime in King’s Landing and not really spending much time with his queen that season, but if the preview’s any indication, Tyrion’s going to do his best to talk to Daenerys about her newfound penchant for burning people alive. (So long, Dickon Tarly.)

But Tyrion might find himself more successful with Daenerys than he was with Jaime, especially considering the fact that they don’t have quite the same complicated history that the brothers Lannister do. He’s been striking out lately, but he might take a page from Varys’ book and use the mention of her father to bring his point home.

He also appears to be having this conversation with her in private, which might get him a little further than questioning her in public as he did prior to Daenerys executing Randyll and Dickon Tarly. Additionally, she was looking off in the distance, as if she was thinking about something she’d just been told.

Spoilers:

This one is something that yours truly hasn’t gotten a lot of evidence on, but we’ve been referring to it heavily nevertheless. The suddenly very accurate-looking leak (down to getting Cersei’s pregnancy right) also has Daenerys even showing up in the North. The storyline doesn’t necessarily point that far, but either way, it’s time for Tyrion to get somewhere.
