Oh Captain, my Captain, it’s hard to believe that it has been three years since Robin Williams passed. So our Flashback Friday is dedicated to him.
Robin Williams was an important part of any ’90s kid’s life. From the Genie in Aladdin to Jumanji and more, he seemed ever so prevalent in our pop culture lives. So when the news came out that Williams had taken his own life, many of us were devastated.
So on this Flashback Friday, we’re here to talk about some of our favorite Robin Williams movies. More particularly, my favorites from growing up. First, whenever I think of Robin, I tend to think more of What Dreams May Come and Jack.
Both were movies that I loved as a kid and made me, in turn, love Robin Williams. Obviously I loved Genie and I still love watching Dead Poet’s Society but there is just something about Jack that breaks your heart and makes you love his boy.
On the anniversary of his death though, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone tweeting about the same roles or memories of the comedian. Everyone tends to love a different version of Robin Williams. Which only goes to show you how amazing he was.
We all have that special movie of his that brings us joy and we love seeing him on our screen. Whether it be Aladdin or even Patch Adams, there is some special kind of joy to be found in watching Robin Williams and his work.

Today, go out there and watch your favorite movie. Get lost in the world of Jumanji or just cry watching all those boys love their teacher. Whatever you chose to do, make yourself happy with a Williams movie. Because really, who can watch Mrs. Doubtfire and not bust out laughing at anything he does?
